To show business leaders how to concretely implement the principles of the circular economy, the Chambre des Métiers and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), in collaboration with the SuperDrecksKëscht®, are organizing a guided tour at Peinture Robin SA in Useldange.
The circular economy is an economic concept aimed at the responsible consumption of natural resources and primary raw materials and the reuse of secondary raw materials. It is about “closing the life cycle” of products.
The objective of the circular economy is therefore to reintroduce as much as possible the raw materials used beyond a life cycle of a product or a good in other production processes. Repeated reuse serves to valorize waste and turn it into secondary materials, which can be used again as basic substances for the production of new goods.
In order to be able to assess the circularity of a production process, the SuperDrecksKëscht® has developed the concept of resource potential. This makes it possible to determine the quantity of raw materials recovered and reused in the composition of new products.
This visit is divided into two highlights:
A presentation by Gérard Zoller, CEO of Peinture Robin SA and Frank Fellens of the SuperDrecksKëscht® on the implementation of the circular economy within Robin and in particular the application of the concept of resource potential to the example of products Verdello and RobinLoop.
A guided tour of the Robin factory, during which participants will be able to discover the practical implementation of the principles of the circular economy.
The visit will be followed by a friendly drink to allow participants to discuss best practices in the circular economy.
This event is part of the "Betriber & Emwelt" cycle where the "Environmental Research and Innovation" (ERIN) department of the "Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology" (LIST), together with the Environment Administration ( AEV), offers Luxembourg companies and public structures a series of information sessions on topics related to the environment.
